Our client is one of Australia's leading construction companies, who are seeking a Finishing Foreman to join key social housing development, requiring finishing trades oversight.
The Role:
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth completion of high-quality social housing builds. This includes supervising finishing trades, tiling fit-off, floor finishes, and handling completion and defecting works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inductions for staff and sub-contractors.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure they fulfil their roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor subcontractor performance daily in relation to safety, quality, and programme, reporting deficiencies to the Site Manager.
- Assist in commissioning and handover, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed for the Project Manager.
- Manage cost control for certain aspects of the project, as directed, to meet budget and performance targets.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and quality compliance on site.
Desired Experience:
- Relevant trade background, particularly in finishing trades (tiling, floor finishes, and fit-off).
- Previous experience on social housing or multi-unit residential projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and subcontractors professionally while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation with a proven ability to implement site safety effectively.

- $70 per hour + super PAYG or ABN payments
- Minimum 3-months work
- Work locally in the southern suburbs of Melbourne
