The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced General Foreman to join the delivery team on a major mixed-use apartment development in West Ryde, comprising high-end apartments as well as retail tenancies.
This is a high-profile project with a strong design focus, complex coordination requirements and premium finishes throughout. You’ll play a key leadership role on site, driving program, managing subcontractors and ensuring the project is delivered to the highest possible standard.
This role would suit someone who enjoys running structured, fast-moving sites and takes pride in quality workmanship and strong team culture.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating daily site activities across structure, façade, services and finishes
- Managing subcontractors, site logistics and short-term programming
- Driving productivity and maintaining momentum across all trade packages
- Maintaining strict QA standards and ensuring works are delivered to specification
- Leading toolbox talks, site meetings and daily pre-starts
- Promoting a strong safety-first culture and ensuring HSEQ compliance
- Working closely with consultants, engineers and project teams to resolve site issues efficiently
- Supporting project reporting, defect management and handover processes
- Trade-qualified (carpentry preferred) with strong technical construction knowledge
- 5–10+ years’ experience in a Foreman or General Foreman role
- Proven background delivering multi-residential or mixed-use developments
- Experience managing projects with complex sequencing and multiple trade interfaces
- Strong understanding of structures, façade systems and high-end finishes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Salary package up to $180,000 + Super, depending on experience
