The Opportunity
An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced General Foreman to take a key leadership position on a major $190M apartment development in Sydney's Inner West.
Working alongside an experienced Site Manager and Project Manager, you'll be responsible for driving day-to-day construction activity across a large, fast-moving residential project.
This is a genuine senior site role with the scale, resources and project team around you to deliver successfully — ideal for a proven General Foreman who enjoys taking ownership and driving performance on major builds.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading daily construction activities and subcontractor coordination
- Managing Foremen, Leading Hands and trades across multiple work fronts
- Driving short-term programming, sequencing and site productivity
- Coordinating structure, façade, services and finishes packages
- Maintaining strict QA standards throughout construction
- Managing site logistics and ensuring works remain ahead of program
- Leading toolbox talks and maintaining a strong safety-first culture
- Working closely with the project team to resolve design and buildability issues
- Driving the project through key milestones and ultimately towards successful completion
- Trade-qualified, ideally with a carpentry background
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or Senior Foreman on major apartment developments
- Strong background delivering large-scale Class 2 residential projects
- Excellent understanding of structure, façade, services and finishes
- Proven ability to coordinate large subcontractor teams and multiple work fronts
- Strong programming and sequencing capability
- A confident leader who can drive performance while maintaining a positive site culture
- Salary package up to $260,000, depending on experience
