We’re partnering with a leading renewable energy developer & EPC delivering large-scale solar, BESS and hybrid energy projects across Australia.
Due to continued growth in their project pipeline, they are appointing a Grid Connection Manager to join the engineering team in Sydney, reporting directly to the Head of Grid and working alongside other Grid Managers.
What you’ll do:
- This is a key role responsible for managing the grid connection process across major projects from development through EPC and commissioning.
- Act as the primary technical interface with AEMO, NSPs and external consultants throughout the connection lifecycle.
- Support development, EPC and project delivery teams to ensure grid compliance and successful connection outcomes.
- Manage connection agreements, performance standards and regulatory approvals.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to progress projects through the connection process.
- Proven experience managing grid connections for large-scale renewable or transmission projects in Australia.
- Strong understanding of AEMO processes, GPS requirements and NSP frameworks.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting power system studies and grid modelling outputs.
- Background in electrical engineering, power systems or grid integration.
- Ability to manage consultants, coordinate stakeholders and drive complex approval processes.
- Strong communication skills and confidence representing projects with regulators and network providers.
- Play a key role delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects shaping Australia’s energy transition.
