Head of Projects - Property Industry Foundation

Sydney | Melbourne | Brisbane

Create spaces that change lives

Property Industry Foundation (PIF) is one of Australia's leading charities uniting the property and construction industry to build homes and spaces for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

For over 30 years, PIF has brought together developers, consultants, contractors and suppliers to deliver projects that create lasting social impact. Through the generosity and expertise of industry partners, the Foundation transforms underutilised spaces into safe, functional environments that provide vulnerable young Australians with opportunities to thrive.

As the organisation continues to expand its project portfolio and national reach, an opportunity has arisen for a Head of Projects to lead the delivery of these initiatives and help shape the next phase of growth.

The opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Projects will provide leadership across PIF's national portfolio of building and refurbishment projects. Working closely with community partners and some of Australia's leading property and construction organisations, you will oversee projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, effectively and in line with the Foundation's mission.

This is a unique role that combines project leadership with stakeholder engagement, requiring someone who is equally comfortable managing delivery, building relationships and identifying opportunities to maximise impact.

This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, and we are open to flexible and part-time arrangements for the right person.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and delivery of a portfolio of projects across Australia.
  • Manage projects from feasibility and design through to construction and handover.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, contractors, consultants and charitable partners.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Oversee project budgets, programmes and governance.
  • Manage consultants and contractors and ensure quality, safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage donated services and industry support.
  • Provide strategic advice and reporting to the CEO and broader leadership team.

You may currently be working as a:
  • Senior Project Manager

  • Experience managing consultants, contractors and external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Qualifications in Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Property or a related discipline.
Why join Property Industry Foundation?

  • Deliver projects with genuine social impact.
  • Work alongside some of Australia's most respected property and construction organisations.
  • Join a highly collaborative and values-led team.
  • Lead projects that leave a lasting legacy for vulnerable young Australians.
  • Play a key role in the future growth of a nationally recognised organisation.
