Due to my clients success we are currently seeking an experienced Health and safety Manager to join our clients team. This is a site based position on a 2:1 roster.

Due to our client’s continued success and growth, they are expanding their team and are now looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager. This is a site-based role on a 2:1 roster, and the position is vital in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a strong safety culture across the project.

This is a greenfield project, and we are ideally seeking candidates with experience in tunnels, concrete, precast, piling, earthworks, and access roads. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of safety and ensuring the smooth running of the project.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Organise and lead audits, site inspections, and control assessments to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Lead thorough investigations into incidents, ensuring all reviews are conducted correctly and effectively.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of health, safety, and emergency management strategies that meet client specifications.
  • Facilitate risk assessment workshops and contribute to the creation of construction method statements.
  • Offer expert advice and support to the team on current legislative requirements and best practices in health and safety.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Greenfields experience, installation of precast walls, Earthworks embankments and access roads.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven track record of conducting risk assessments, lead  incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
