We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a Council in Sydney on a 6-month contract. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with Council leaders, providing expert HR advice and support across a variety of key areas.

What You'll Do:
- Provide expert advice on industrial relations and employee matters, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with Council policy.
- Proactively build and maintain strong employee and industrial relations.
- Lead and support end-to-end recruitment, helping attract and retain top talent.
- Contribute to policy development, internal investigations, onboarding, and internal staff movements.
- Help drive communication and employee engagement through proactive outreach, toolbox meetings, and HR presence across teams.
What We're Looking For :
- A degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in a HR generalist role, with strong industrial relations knowledge
- Local government experience
