About the Role Reporting to the HSE Manager, you'll work closely with project teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure legislative compliance, and provide practical HSE support across multiple construction and water infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HSE advice and support to project managers, supervisors, and site teams.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and workplace observations.
- Lead incident investigations and identify corrective and preventive actions.
- Facilitate risk assessments, SWMS reviews, and pre-start meetings.
- Support environmental and quality compliance where required.
- Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training.
- Assist with reporting, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with relevant WHS legislation and client requirements.
- Demonstrated experience as an HSE Advisor within the construction industry.
- Experience working on water or civil infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and risk management principles.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum); Diploma or higher is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with operational teams.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- 4 years experience in a similar field
- Competitive salary of $130,000–$150,000 + Super(depending on experience).
