This role will see you supporting a road, civil and infrastructure project, working closely with project teams to provide practical health, safety and environmental support on site.
We're looking for someone who can build strong relationships with supervisors, crews and subcontractors while promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance across the project.
This position would suit someone who enjoys being out on site, takes a practical approach to safety, and is confident providing advice and support across all levels of the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day HSE support across the project
- Conducting site inspections, audits and workplace observations
- Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Supporting supervisors and crews with risk assessments, SWMS and safety compliance
- Promoting a proactive and positive safety culture on site
- Maintaining HSE documentation and reporting requirements
- Building strong working relationships with project teams and client representatives
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor within civil construction, roads or infrastructure projects
- Experience working on MRWA, road or transport infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and construction safety practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident working autonomously while supporting a collaborative project team
- White Card and current Australian Driver's Licence
