Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and proactive HSE Advisor/ This role is crucial in ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are adhered to across civil construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction and a strong commitment to promoting a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide HSE training and support to site personnel, fostering a culture of safety and awareness.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure HSE requirements are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Monitor and review risk assessments and safe work method statements (SWMS) to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum Cert IV WHS. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Advisor in the civil construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian HSE regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites within the Metro Perth region.
