HSE Advisor – Civil Construction
Our client is a leading Civil and Engineering Construction company with a focus on earthworks, subdivisions, and civil infrastructure projects. With offices across the Perth metro and southwest regions, they are currently seeking an HSE Advisor to join the team on projects north of the river.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide HSE training and support to site personnel, fostering a strong culture of safety and awareness.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Monitor and review risk assessments and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Assist project teams with safety planning, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Experience:
• Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3–4 years' experience working within the civil construction industry.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices within the construction sector.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
