An established contractor delivering major aviation and infrastructure projects is seeking a proactive HSE Officer to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on safety professional to work across high-profile airport and infrastructure projects, supporting site teams to maintain a strong safety culture and deliver projects safely.
The Role Reporting into an experienced safety leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HSE operations across active project sites.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys being visible on site, building strong relationships with project teams and taking a practical approach to safety. You will work collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors and stakeholders to drive compliance while supporting the wider delivery team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Reviewing and monitoring SWMS, risk assessments and site documentation.
- Assisting with Site Management Plans and Traffic Management Plans.
- Supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Delivering site inductions and engaging with subcontractors.
- Monitoring compliance with WHS legislation and company procedures.
- Providing practical safety advice to project teams.
- Assisting with quality documentation, including ITPs where required.
- Promoting a positive safety culture across multiple projects.
Ideally you will have:
- 3 + years' experience in a construction HSE/WHS role.
- Experience working on commercial, civil, infrastructure or aviation projects.
- A strong understanding of SWMS, site inspections and construction compliance.
- Knowledge of Site Management Plans and Traffic Management Plans.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to safety.
- The confidence to hold people accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum).
