This role will see you supporting the business across health, safety, quality and environmental functions, working closely with operational leaders and employees to maintain compliance, strengthen systems and continue driving a positive HSEQ culture.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, hands-on and confident building relationships across all levels of an organisation. This position would suit an HSQE professional who enjoys a balance of operational support, compliance, auditing and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day HSQE support across the business
- Supporting the maintenance and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Assisting with ISO-certified systems and certification audits
- Monitoring compliance with WHS, environmental and quality legislation and client requirements
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits and site engagements
- Supporting risk assessments, risk registers and psychosocial hazard management
- Managing incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting Respect@Work and workplace behaviour initiatives
- Developing, reviewing and maintaining HSQE policies, procedures and management plans
- Monitoring HSQE performance and preparing reports and performance metrics
- Supporting toolbox talks, HSQE meetings and safety communications
- Assisting with project onboarding, client prequalification and contractor compliance
- Providing practical HSQE advice to operational leaders and employees
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes and industry developments
- Previous experience as an HSQE Officer, HSQE Advisor, Safety Advisor or similar
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience supporting Integrated Management Systems and ISO certifications
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Experience with psychosocial hazard management and workplace behaviour initiatives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong Microsoft 365 and SharePoint skills
- Construction White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
