Our client is a growing commercial mechanical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality HVAC projects across Melbourne. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they're looking to appoint an experienced HVAC Estimator to join their close-knit team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of commercial mechanical projects valued up to approximately $2 million.
You'll work closely with clients, consultants, suppliers and the delivery team to ensure tenders are commercially competitive and technically compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial HVAC projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Perform quantity take-offs and material take-offs.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare pricing schedules, scopes of work and tender clarifications.
- Identify project risks and opportunities during the tender process.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal project teams.
- Assist with successful project handovers to the delivery team.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and databases.
We're looking for someone with experience estimating commercial mechanical services projects who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an HVAC or Mechanical Services Estimator.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience pricing projects from approximately $100k to $2M.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- $130,000 - $150,000 + Super.
