We’re representing a respected mechanical contractor recognised for delivering technically complex HVAC projects within existing buildings — including commercial fitouts, plant upgrades, and system replacements up to $5 million. Known for their engineering capability and collaborative approach, they consistently deliver projects that demand precision, problem-solving, and technical depth.
This opportunity is for a seasoned HVAC Estimator who can take ownership of the full tendering process, applying commercial acumen and mechanical expertise to secure and support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end estimation for mechanical projects across occupied and operational environments
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and scopes to develop accurate cost models
- Perform detailed take-offs using Excel and Bluebeam
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and construction teams
- Contribute to project reviews and value-engineering discussions
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships to ensure competitive and realistic pricing
- Extensive HVAC estimating experience within the mechanical contracting industry
- Strong technical understanding of air conditioning, ventilation, and mechanical systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and deliver under tight timeframes
- Comfortable liaising with design engineers and contributing to design development
- High attention to detail and a commercially minded approach
- Salary package up to $180k, dependent on experience
