Are you an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking to join a well-established contractor delivering high-quality commercial HVAC projects across Melbourne?
We're partnering with a respected mechanical services contractor with a strong reputation for repeat business, quality delivery and a collaborative team culture. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial HVAC projects from award through to completion.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing several mechanical projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Projects typically range from $200k to $1.5M across a variety of sectors including:
- Commercial offices
- Education
- Healthcare
- Retail
- Industrial
- Hospitality
- Manage projects from handover through to practical completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams.
- Monitor programme, budget and project performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and builders.
- Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and materials.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Oversee commissioning, defect resolution and project close-out.
- Ensure projects comply with all safety and quality requirements.
We're interested in candidates with:
- Experience as a Mechanical or HVAC Project Manager, or a Senior Project Engineer ready to step into a PM role.
- Commercial HVAC or Mechanical Services experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound commercial and financial awareness.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
