A full-service HVAC firm, offering everything from custom system design and installation to preventative maintenance and service across commercial, retail, industrial and residential markets.
About the role:
- Lead, manage and grow the service dept: currently 3 service technicians + 1 account manager; you’ll be responsible for recruiting additional service technicians and expanding the team.
- Oversee service delivery to commercial and residential clients — ensuring high standards of performance, compliance, safety and client satisfaction.
- Manage work scheduling, resource allocation, technician performance, quality assurance and after-sales support.
- Ensure the business’s service management software (currently AroFlo) is properly utilised and efficient.
- Provide leadership, coaching and development to the service team.
- Collaborate with the account manager to maintain and grow service contracts and client relationships.
- Monitor KPIs, service profitability, budgets and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality and ISO requirements, as applicable.
- Work cross-functionally with projects, design and installation teams to deliver an integrated service offering.
- Strong background in HVAC and refrigeration service — ideally you’ve worked in a role providing service, maintenance and repairs across commercial and residential HVAC systems.
- Proven service management experience (you’ve led a team of technicians, managed scheduling, resource allocation, service delivery and client-facing service operations).
- Comfortable recruiting, building and leading a service team – you’ll help grow the team from its current base.
- Proficient with service management software (bonus if you’ve used AroFlo or similar) and confident with technology, reporting and service workflow systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, client-service orientation and organisational skills.
- Strong business acumen — you’ll be responsible for service profitability and operational efficiency.
- Valid NSW refrigeration licence (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Up to $150k + super, depending on experience and capability.
- Company vehicle or car allowance.
