We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join Blacktown City Council based in Rooty Hill on a temporary labour hire assignment July 13, 2026 to January 31, 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing council work, working across commercial and public sector facilities.
Pay Rate: $89.58 – $96.44 per hour
About the Role:
- Maintenance, servicing and repair of commercial HVAC systems
- Fault finding and diagnostics across council facilities
- Preventative and reactive maintenance work
- Working within a public sector environment
- Ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards
- Supporting energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC operations
- MR Licence
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent nationally recognised qualification)
- Full Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
- NSW Restricted Electrical Licence for Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or Full Electrical Licence)
- Minimum 5 years post-trade HVAC experience
- Experience working in commercial and public sector environments
- NSW Gas Work Licence
- Experience or training in energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable technologies
