Public Sector People have partnered with a Sydney based council who are looking for an experienced Information Management Analyst
to support their Digital Technology & Innovation team.
This role plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing Council’s Records and Information Management framework, ensuring compliance with the State Records Act 1998
and driving continuous improvement across digital systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain Council’s Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), including security, access controls, and compliance.
- Oversee daily records operations – including mail handling, scanning, filing, retrieval, and quality control checks.
- Support process improvement and staff training in records and information management best practices.
- Facilitate authorised destruction and digitisation of records in line with NSW State Records requirements.
- Identify and manage information risks, contributing to strong information governance.
- Provide high-quality customer service to internal stakeholders and promote a culture of compliance and efficiency.
- Cert III in Business (Records & Information Management) or equivalent experience.
- Proven background in records and information management, including digitisation, classification, sentencing, and disposal.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and records compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Local Government experience and EDRMS system administration (e.g. Content Manager, TRIM, Objective) is highly regarded.
