The Role
This position offers the chance to lead a major project involving specialised civil and operational infrastructure works. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and subcontractor engagement through to execution, completion and handover.
The role involves coordinating resources, ensuring high standards of safety and quality, and meeting commercial objectives while operating in a remote and challenging environment. Working on a FIFO roster, you will collaborate with stakeholders and a dedicated project team, applying your leadership and technical expertise to deliver high impact results.
About You
You are an experienced project leader with a strong civil construction background and a proven ability to manage complex works from start to finish. You are confident working in remote or demanding environments and understand the importance of planning, safety and quality throughout delivery.
You have a sound understanding of commercial and contractual requirements and are skilled at building strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and your team. You lead by example, support and mentor others and maintain focus on scope, time and budget. A relevant tertiary qualification and experience managing large-scale specialised civil or operational projects will help set you up for success.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience delivering complex civil or infrastructure projects from planning to handover
- Strong understanding of safety, quality and commercial requirements for large scale works
- Confidence working in remote or challenging environments with tight timelines
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop high performing project teams
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and subcontractor management
- Good knowledge of contracts, specifications and industry standards
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction or a related discipline
- Experience delivering projects with operational, logistical or strategic infrastructure elements is an advantage
