Public Sector People are seeking a proactive and experienced Injury Management Business Partner
to lead and support the delivery of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Injury Management systems, policies, and programs at council in Sydney.

$67ph + super - ASAP Start
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Council’s Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS), ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end injury management process — from initial report to claim closure.
- Facilitate early intervention and coordinate Recover at Work Plans to support employees returning to work safely.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to leaders and staff on injury management, workers’ compensation, and recovery at work.
- Lead WHS and IM training programs, including initiatives to promote mental health and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate documentation, data, and reporting on WHS and IM performance.
- Foster strong relationships with staff, insurers, and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for our people and organisation.
- Extensive experience in Injury Management, including Return to Work (RTW) accreditation.
- Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases, negotiate outcomes, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Tertiary qualification in Injury Management, Work Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
