The Company:
Our client, is a national insurance builder with over 15 years of experience across Australia, specializing in the insurance construction sector for both residential and commercial properties. Amidst exciting growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assessing team leader to join their team.
The Opportunity:
- Report and scope reviews, quality and compliance checks,
- Conducting virtual assessments of insured properties to determine damage locally and on a national scale where required
- Creating detailed and accurate assessment reports, scopes of works, and quotes on covered damage,
- Identifying the difference between insurance-related damage and maintenance
- Completing desktop assessments and reviewing specialist reports when workload is high
- Processing reports and information through software-based platforms,
- Ensuring PDS adherence
- Scope validations
- Providing assessor advice on NCC, Australian Standards, and contractual WHS requirements
- Providing repair and technical advice on claims as required
- Offering performance feedback, identifying training needs, and working with the Assessing Team Leader on implementation,
- Working closely with the repair coordination team to offer support and advice
- Reviewing reroof SOWs and claims over $100K
- Responding to insurance companies on complex claims and escalations
- 2+ years of experience as a Building Assessor or Insurance Estimator
- Direct insurer industry experience considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Trade or Building qualification, preferred
