is recruiting for a Leasing Coordinator
on behalf of a Local Government Department. This role is a temporary position with potential for extension.
About the role:
As a Leasing Coordinator you will provide leadership and legal advice to Council and the Branch on facility leasing and tenure matters. You will lead, coordinate, and oversee the administration of a portfolio of properties, leases, and tenure agreements as well as develop and implement leasing management policies and practices for efficient processes.

- Provide guidance on the preparation, execution, and maintenance of leases, licenses, and tenure agreements in compliance with internal policies, the Land Act 1994, and applicable legislation.
- Lead high-level advice on state and federal legislation, by-laws, and liaise with legal advisors when necessary.
- Oversee negotiation, interpretation, and dispute resolution for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for community and sporting facility tenure agreements, in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy of leasing information in databases, lead best practices in lease terms and compliance, and educate tenants on tenure requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with facility lessees, community organisations, and external stakeholders to collaboratively manage and resolve issues for the community.
- Previous Government experience in Local, State or Federal Government desirable
- Bachelors Degree in Law
- Membership to the Queensland Law Society
- Experience in Property Law highly advantageous
- Experience with SAP, Work Order Systems or TechOne
- Ability to quickly and accurately navigate multiple systems
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
