Maintenance Lead 
Wetherill Park, NSW
Monday to Friday | Day Shift
$120,000 - $130,000 + Super
Trade qualification as either an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter.

An established food manufacturing business based in Wetherill Park is looking for an experienced Maintenance Lead to take ownership of the site's maintenance function.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment while implementing improvements to maximise uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • As Maintenance Lead you'll lead and coordinate all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • The Maintenance Lead will respond to equipment breakdowns and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • This Maintenance Lead you will drive machinery upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • The Maintenance Lead will plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise production downtime.
  • As the Maintenance Lead you'll maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
  • This Maintenance Lead will coordinate and supervise external contractors when required.
  • The Maintenance Lead will ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with food manufacturing standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
  • Work closely with Production and Operations to achieve site performance targets.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Trade qualification as either an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter.
  • Previous experience leading maintenance within a manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and breakdown management.
  • Experience with machinery upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the maintenance function.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Good computer skills with experience maintaining maintenance records or CMMS systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage contractors and work collaboratively across departments.
