Are you a skilled Management Accountant looking for a new opportunity to contribute to the public sector? We are partnering with a dynamic local council in Sydney, seeking a Management Accountant to join their team on a longer-term contract.

This is a hybrid working role with 2 days in the office after a settling in period.

Role Overview

• This role provides comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis support for the Council.
• It requires a detailed understanding of the factors influencing the financial performance of all council services.
• As a Management Accountant, you will assist with preparing key deliverables, including the annual budget, operating and capital expenditure, the long-term financial strategy, quarterly reports, annual reports, and performance monitoring.
• You will also supervise 2 members of staff.

• Local government experience is highly desirable.
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting.
• CPA/CA/CIMA Accreditation
• Experience with TechnologyOne is highly regarded
