In this role you will oversee the delivery of complex infrastructure planning and financial modelling workstreams. You will provide expert advice on infrastructure charging frameworks, offset administration, and financial governance to support informed strategic decision-making.
  
This is a contract opportunity for an initial 6-month term with 2 x 6-month extension options.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and provide performance oversight to analysts and senior analysts, building team capability and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee complex infrastructure financial modelling frameworks, ensuring methodological consistency and accuracy across the team.
  • Provide expert advice on infrastructure charging policies and resolve high-risk or contested infrastructure matters.
  • Lead infrastructure offset administration and program-level governance activities.
  • Develop, review, and enhance cost recovery financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Guide the integration of GIS and spatial analysis into financial and infrastructure planning workflows.
  • Manage multiple complex workstreams with exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational capability.
  • Contribute to strategic infrastructure planning initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government frameworks, policies, and governance requirements.
  
  
Successful Candidate
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing analytical teams.
  • Extensive experience in infrastructure planning, infrastructure charging, and financial modelling within a complex environment.
  • Advanced Excel modelling capability and strong understanding of financial modelling methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex or sensitive infrastructure policy matters.
  • Strong governance and program management capability, particularly relating to infrastructure offsets and cost recovery frameworks.
  • Experience incorporating GIS and spatial analysis into planning and financial processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and provide strategic advice.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience working within government or large infrastructure environments will be highly regarded.
