Salary: Band 8 with Salary range $143,071.76 - $165,964.24 + Super (leaseback vehicle available)

Public Sector People are proud to be partnering with Ku-ring-gai Council to recruit a dynamic Manager Waste Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team delivering essential waste and environmental services to the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director Operations, you will manage a multi-disciplinary team responsible for:
- Council’s domestic, commercial and engineering waste services
- FOGO implementation and ongoing operations
- Management of major waste contracts and former landfill sites
- Community education and promotion of waste programs
- Operational planning, budgeting, and continuous service improvement
You’ll Bring:
- Degree qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, or related field
- Extensive experience in leading waste operations, contract and project management
- Strong financial management skills with experience overseeing $25M+ budgets
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strategic leadership with a forward-thinking, innovative approach
