Reporting directly to an experienced Construction Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering projects from procurement through to completion.
You’ll manage direct labour, oversee budgets and programme, and liaise closely with builders, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and on schedule. This business is known for promoting from within and providing clear pathways into mid and major project teams as capability grows.
This is a fully office-based role within a privately owned contractor that combines the structure of a large organisation with the culture of a long-standing family-run business.
The Role:
- Deliver commercial mechanical services projects up to $3M
- Manage direct labour and coordinate site activities
- Oversee procurement, forecasting, budgets, and cost control
- Liaise with builders, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with estimating and construction teams
- Progress into larger-scale projects over time
- Proven Project Management experience within a Tier 2 (or strong Tier 3) mechanical contractor
- Australian commercial construction experience essential
- Strong background managing direct labour
- Experience delivering commercial fit-out or new build projects
- Ambitious, career-driven, and keen to grow into larger projects
- Commercially astute with strong organisational skills
