The Role
- Lead projects end-to-end, from concept through to documentation and delivery
- Develop creative, commercially driven design solutions
- Prepare and oversee detailed documentation packages
- Ensure compliance with BCA and Australian Standards
- Coordinate consultants including planners, engineers and specialists
- Assist with development applications and approvals
- Manage timelines across multiple projects
- Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors
- Lead presentations and clearly communicate design intent
- Support and mentor junior designers
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives and studio improvements
- 4+ years’ experience in hospitality, retail or wellness design
- Strong design capability across concept, space planning and FF&E
- Excellent documentation and detailing skills
- Strong understanding of construction and project delivery
- Sound knowledge of BCA and Australian Standards
- Experience coordinating consultants and navigating approvals
- Commercial awareness including budgets and buildability
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
- Highly organised with strong time management
- Detail-oriented, proactive and solutions-focused
- Technical skills in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite
