With a growing pipeline of aviation projects, they are seeking an experienced Night Foreman to join their team delivering works at Sydney Airport.
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Night Foreman to take a key site leadership role on construction and refurbishment projects within Sydney Airport.
Working in a live airport environment, you will be responsible for coordinating overnight construction activities, managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and within strict operational timeframes.
This is an ideal opportunity for a capable Foreman who enjoys the challenges of complex, fast-paced construction and is comfortable managing projects where planning, coordination and attention to detail are critical.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day (night-to-night) construction activities across airport projects
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site personnel during overnight shifts
- Driving short-term programming, sequencing and construction milestones
- Ensuring works are completed within strict airport access and operational windows
- Managing site logistics, deliveries and materials within a live airport environment
- Maintaining high standards of WHS, quality and environmental compliance
- Coordinating with airport stakeholders and operational personnel as required
- Reviewing drawings and resolving construction and buildability issues
- Managing inspections, QA documentation and defect rectification
- Ensuring work areas are safely reinstated and handed back before airport operations resume
- Providing detailed shift handovers and progress updates to the wider project team
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Site Supervisor within commercial construction or refurbishment
- Previous experience working on aviation or airport projects highly regarded
- Strong understanding of construction programming, sequencing and subcontractor coordination
- Experience working within live, operational or highly regulated environments
- Comfortable working night shifts and managing construction activities independently
- Excellent knowledge of WHS, quality assurance and site compliance
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver within strict deadlines
- Trade background, ideally carpentry, highly regarded
- Ability to satisfy relevant airport security and site access requirements
- Up to $170,000 + Super, depending on experience
