This 3-month contract focuses on delivering key initiatives under the Gender Equality Act, including developing and reporting the council’s Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP). The project is underway and now requires a dedicated consultant to meet critical deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the council’s GEAP Progress Report
- Lead development of the 2025–2029 Gender Equality Action Plan
- Facilitate consultation with the GEAP Action Plan Committee
- Undertake organisation-wide staff consultation
- Analyse workforce data and translate findings into practical, achievable actions
- Prepare high-quality, legislatively compliant reports
- Strong experience in organisational development, diversity, or inclusion projects
- Skilled at analysing data and converting insights into actionable outcomes
- Exceptional attention to detail and report writing ability
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work to a detailed project plan
- Confident engaging with staff and leaders at all levels
- Experience within the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion space essential
- Able to work autonomously while collaborating with a manager and external consultant
