Parking & Local Laws Liaison Officer

Pay Rate:$41.13 per hour + Super
Assignment: 8 June 2026 to 19 July 2026

Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking two Parking & Local Laws Liaison Officers to join the team on a temporary basis from 8 June 2026 to 19 July 2026.

Role 1:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 38 hours per week
Role 2:
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • 21 hours per week
In these field-based roles, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations and local laws while providing a professional and customer-focused service to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct parking patrols and enforce local laws across the municipality
  • Issue infringements, notices to comply, and provide education to the public
  • Investigate complaints and respond to community enquiries
  • Attend court as required
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and enforcement activities
  • Participate in weekend and after-hours rosters
About You
  • Previous experience in parking enforcement, local laws, compliance, community safety, or a similar role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage challenging situations professionally
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
