Public Sector People are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People & Culture Advisor
to join a council in Sydney and their dedicated People and Culture (P&C) team. Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality HR administrative support and advice across the full employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end administrative support across the P&C function including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, probation, performance reviews, reward & recognition.
- Manage and maintain HR systems and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to internal enquiries, providing clear, timely and customer-focused advice.
- Support the administration of training programs, events, and internal communications.
- Assist with HR reporting, data analysis, policy and process improvement.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and other financial transactions within Council systems (TechOne, SCOUT).
- Contribute to the development and implementation of P&C policies, procedures and projects.

Essential:
- Experience working in a People & Culture or HR team with strong administrative capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A customer service mindset and a professional, confidential approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and protocols.
- A team-oriented attitude with a willingness to multi-skill.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
- Experience with TechOne, Oracle or similar HR systems.
- Current Class C NSW Driver’s Licence.
