About the Role Reporting to the Employee Relations Lead, you'll be responsible for reviewing, developing and updating People & Culture policies, procedures and frameworks to ensure they are compliant with legislation and aligned with best practice.
This is a hands-on writing role requiring someone who is efficient, highly organised and capable of producing a high volume of quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and update HR policies, procedures and related documentation.
- Interpret and apply Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and industrial relations requirements.
- Ensure all documentation is legally compliant, practical and fit for purpose.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather information and finalise documentation.
- Support broader Employee Relations initiatives where required.
- Proven experience writing HR policies and procedures from the ground up.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations.
- Exceptional written communication and document drafting skills.
- Able to work independently and deliver high-quality work within tight timeframes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Must have the ability to interpret legislation and develop policies manually. We are seeking someone with genuine policy-writing expertise rather than someone who relies on AI-generated content.
