Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical Leadership
- Provide high-level engineering advice on planning, design, materials, construction practices and project options to ensure value for money and best practice.
- Offer timely and accurate technical and operational guidance to senior staff.
- Mentor and support graduates, engineers, and technical staff to resolve technical issues and deliver programs on time and to budget.
Project & Contract Management
- Act as Project Manager and Contract Administrator for multiple projects.
- Manage and coordinate pre-construction activities including surveys, geotechnical investigations, land resumptions, design tenders, and design development through to detailed design and tender release.
- Assist with managing construction projects as required.
- Lead the calling, evaluation, and awarding of tenders for construction projects.
- Administer complex contracts and guide others in contract administration best practice.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of project management systems and processes across all project phases.
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, contractors, local governments, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.\
- Provide professional and responsive customer service by addressing public enquiries requiring technical input.
- Promote and contribute to a safe, healthy, and sustainable workforce.
Mandatory Requirements
- A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- Current holder of Class C driver's license.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
- Provision of own suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Criminal History Screening must be undertaken by the successful candidate
