Working within the Special Projects team, you will oversee projects through various lifecycle stages including planning, pre-construction, procurement, and construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across multiple project phases.
- Act as the Representative of the Principal for contract administration and project delivery.
- Manage tendering processes, contract assessments, and contractor engagement activities.
- Provide high-level engineering advice relating to planning, design suitability, construction methodologies, materials, and best practice solutions.
- Monitor project performance including scope, schedule, expenditure, risk, and quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, legislation, environmental obligations, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise engineering and technical resources to achieve project objectives.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, including managing complex and high-risk issues professionally and proactively.
- Mentor and support graduate engineers and technical staff while fostering a collaborative team culture.
About You
You are a highly capable civil engineering professional with strong project delivery and leadership experience within transport or infrastructure environments.
You will demonstrate
- Proven experience managing the design and/or construction of complex road infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, procurement, and contract administration.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentoring technical staff.
Mandatory Requirements
- A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Current holder of Class C driver's license.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
- Provision of own suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Criminal History Screening must be undertaken by the successful candidate.
