Pre-Sales & Delivery Engineer (EV Charging Infrastructure)

Location: Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane

Salary:$150,000 – $160,000 base + ESOP + up to $20K bonus

Type: Full-time | Hybrid with interstate travel

About the Role A fast-growing EV infrastructure business is expanding its presence in Australia and seeking a talented Pre-Sales & Delivery Engineer to help deploy cutting-edge high-voltage fast-charging systems for commercial and heavy-fleet customers.

This hybrid position combines technical pre-sales support with delivery management, bridging the gap between engineering, utilities, and customers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing solutions, supporting tenders, coordinating deployments, and helping scale the company’s footprint across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical interface between customers, engineering, and utilities during all project stages.
  • Lead pre-sales activities including scoping, system design, and proposal development.
  • Manage delivery and deployment of high-voltage connected fast-charging systems.
  • Liaise with DNSPs and grid operators to coordinate site connections and compliance.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, customer-friendly presentations.
  • Conduct site visits and support installation teams as required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of products, processes, and customer experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
  • 5–10+ years’ experience across electrical infrastructure, power systems, or grid connection projects.
  • Proven experience working with HV systems and DNSPs/utilities.
  • Strong blend of technical, commercial, and customer-facing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of building trust and credibility with clients.
  • Comfortable working in agile or startup environments with a hands-on approach.
  • Willingness to travel interstate for customer meetings and site visits (approx. 20–30%).
Desirable
  • Experience in EV charging, renewables, or electrification projects.
  • Background in consulting engineering or systems integration.
  • Familiarity with large-scale transport, fleet, or industrial electrical systems.
Why Join
  • Work with innovative HV fast-charging technology at the forefront of transport electrification.
  • Be part of a mission-driven team driving decarbonisation in the heavy-fleet sector.
  • Early ESOP participation with long-term growth and leadership opportunities.
  • Supportive, transparent culture inspired by modern leadership principles — open communication, trust, and balance.
  • Hybrid flexibility and focus on employee wellbeing.
