Public Sector People are seeking a skilled and motivated Procurement Officer
to join a council in Sydney, NSW.
In this role, you will provide procurement and contract management advice and support to stakeholders with Grant Funded Projects across Council, ensuring governance and probity to all processes. This includes the management of the tendering and quotations process in line with procedures and policies.
Hours:
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Contract Length:
12 months with possibility of extension -
Location:
Sydney
Rate: $50-60ph + super
Hybrid working model
Key areas include:
- Lead procurement planning and strategic sourcing for goods and services.
- Prepare, manage and evaluate RFQs, RFTs and EOIs in accordance with policy.
- Provide expert advice on procurement and contract management matters.
- Support departments in contract performance monitoring and supplier engagement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field (i.e. Certificate, Diploma, Degree) and/or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated Experience with Construction Procurement and/or Management Experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a medium to large organisation in either contract administration, supply chain logistics, project management, purchasing and procurement for construction projects.
- Local government experience highly desirable.
