About the Role
Public Sector People are seeking a Procurement and Contracts Officer
to support the delivery of an efficient and compliant end-to-end procurement service across a Sydney Council’s business units. You’ll play a key role in administering procurement processes in line with legislative, policy, and governance frameworks, while contributing to the successful execution of the annual procurement program.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tenders at varying stages, and a readiness to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement and tendering processes.
- Ensure compliance with local government regulations and policies.
- Support the delivery of Council’s procurement plan.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet service and project requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing tendering/quotation processes in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in SAP, particularly the contract management module.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in local or state government.
- Familiarity with NSW Department of Commerce e-tendering systems.
- Sound understanding of NSW State and Local Government contracts, regulations, and procurement frameworks.
