A well-established and rapidly growing premium food manufacturer is seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Manager to lead daily operations within a high-performing team environment. This is a key leadership role suited to someone who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and takes genuine ownership of production outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This is not a desk-bound role — you’ll be actively involved on the floor, driving performance, improving processes, and supporting your team in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and develop production staff across shifts
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and team performance
- Manage production scheduling, workflow optimisation, and day-to-day operational issues
- Proven experience as a Production Manager within food manufacturing
- Strong leadership style with a hands-on, “lead from the front” approach
- Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP or similar)
- Ability to motivate teams and build a positive, accountable culture
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
