Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all pre-construction activities, including feasibility, due diligence, permits and approvals
- Develop the overarching strategy and roadmap for the data centre’s early-stage development
- Coordinate and oversee consultants, engineers, planners, and legal teams
- Engage with government and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance
- Lead tenant engagement, market outreach, and early-stage commercial negotiations
- Identify and help secure anchor tenants or strategic partners
- Provide strategic input into infrastructure planning and technical design requirements
- Monitor industry trends and competitive developments in the data centre space
- Proven experience in Australian data centre development, particularly in the planning or pre-construction stages
- Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure including power, cooling, and connectivity
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and drive project progress
- Commercial acumen with a track record of successful negotiations and tenant acquisition
- Understanding of regulatory and planning processes relevant to infrastructure and industrial developments
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, property, business, or project management are highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams effectively
- Join a company with a clear growth vision and strong backing
- Be a key player in launching a new strategic business vertical
- High level of autonomy and influence in project decision-making
- Career growth opportunities as the data centre portfolio expands
- Collaborative, agile team culture with leadership that values innovation
- Competitive salary and performance-aligned incentives
- Work with purpose in a mission-driven, values-led organisation
