About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a subcontractor delivering works on one of Australia's most significant renewable energy projects. Acting as the technical bridge between engineering and on-site execution, you will play a key role in ensuring electrical work packages are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget. You'll work closely with design, construction, procurement, and commercial teams across a fast-paced and complex project environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Engineer
  • Support the development of construction programs, track daily progress, and manage resource allocation across electrical work packages.
  • Interpret electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and erection documentation to guide on-site execution.
  • Plan and coordinate labour, tools, services, and materials required for electrical installation activities.
  • Work alongside warehouse and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of electrical materials and equipment to site.
  • Track electrical scope expenditures, review invoices, manage procurement activities, and identify cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant standards, specifications, and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot design discrepancies, leading technical resolution sessions as required.
  • Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and the client to resolve electrical and technical challenges.
What You Can Bring as the Electrical Project Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of on-site or project engineering experience on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or construction projects.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Solid understanding of electrical installation scope and how it interfaces with civil and structural works.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to commit to a Monday to Friday roster based in rural NSW for approximately two years.
