The Role:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer with GMP knowledge to work within a Tier 3 Projects team, supporting site-wide infrastructure upgrades. You’ll be responsible for delivering a range of minor capital and site improvement projects aimed at enhancing utilities, production, and support areas at a major manufacturing site.

Background:
- Position is part of the Tier 3 Capital Projects team
- Projects focus on small to medium-scale infrastructure and facility upgrades
- Site operates in a GMP-regulated environment
- Lead and deliver multiple Tier 3 capital projects across site operations
- Oversee minor construction and infrastructure upgrades such as:
- Tank replacements
- Security office expansion
- Production equipment and refrigerator replacements
- Utilities infrastructure improvements
- Manage on-site contractors and oversee permit-to-work processes
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure project delivery meets operational requirements
- Track project progress and report to the Project Manager – R&D Lead
- Apply practical problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, operational environment
Must Haves:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Project Engineering role
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline)
- Experience in regulated environments (pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial)
- Strong knowledge of GMP standards and safety protocols
- Proven experience managing contractors and minor construction works
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Flexible approach to working hours (occasional early starts and weekend work may be required)
Additional Details:
- Hourly Rate: $50–$60 + super (based on experience)
- Location: Northern Suburbs of Melbourne (onsite role)
- Work Visa: Open to Working Holiday Visa holders (must be available for full 12 months)
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time onsite
- Potential for Extension: Yes, depending on project pipeline and performance
