Excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator/Engineer to lead a major relocation project for a world-class pharmaceutical organisation!
The Role:
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Project Coordinator or Project Engineer with GMP and vendor management experience to support a high-impact site consolidation project. You’ll work across two operational sites, managing the relocation of over 400 pieces of equipment and ensuring everything is planned, tracked, validated, and delivered on time.
Background:
- Site consolidation project (moving operations from one Melbourne facility to another)
- Consolidation includes equipment, people, and operations
- 12-month project assignment within the Project Management team
- Coordinate vendor activities related to equipment packing, relocation, and reinstallation
- Supervise contractors on-site and manage permit and safety compliance
- Manage recalibration schedules for equipment post-move (400+ units)
- Liaise with internal teams to align requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Support validation and qualification of equipment post-relocation
- Identify optimisation opportunities within the new facility
- Track project activities, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
- Report progress and flag risks to the Project Manager
Must Haves:
- 3+ years' experience in a similar project coordination or engineering role
- Strong GMP knowledge within a regulated environment (e.g. pharma, life sciences)
- Experience with vendor supervision and equipment relocation
- Proven planning and project tracking capabilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks independently
- Validation and qualification experience (essential)
- Must be willing to work across two sites (approx. 10-minute walk between them)
Additional Details:
- Contract Type: 12-month full-time contract
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am start; occasional early starts or Saturday work may be required
- Location: Based onsite at two Melbourne facilities (no remote work)
- Team Size: 3-person project team
- Visa Status: Open to Working Holiday Visa holders (must commit to full 12 months)
- Overtime: Penalty rates apply for hours worked over 38 per week
- Extension Potential: Unlikely (project-based)
