This is a hands-on project management role where you'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, technical specialists, customers and operational crews to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the role
As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing projects from planning and estimation through to completion, while balancing competing priorities across safety, cost, quality, schedule and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing road maintenance programs and minor works projects from concept through to completion.
  • Taking accountability for project performance across budget, schedule, quality, safety and risk.
  • Preparing project estimates, tenders, quotations and proposals.
  • Coordinating contractors, technical specialists, operational teams and other project stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Leading project teams and supporting a positive, accountable and collaborative culture.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across project and operational delivery.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, legislation and operational requirements.
  • Managing changing priorities and ensuring delivery programs remain on track.

Successful candidate
  • Proven experience managing projects from planning through to successful completion.
  • Strong project management capability across cost, schedule, quality, safety and risk.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, contractors and internal teams.
  • Experience leading and influencing project teams to achieve high-quality delivery outcomes.
  • Sound commercial and financial management skills, including estimating, budgeting and cost control.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, compliance and value for money.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to identify issues early and implement practical outcomes.
  • The ability to work autonomously, take ownership and remain accountable while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and proactive Project Manager who is confident operating in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. You will bring a practical approach to project management, strong commercial awareness and the ability to build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.

You will ideally have experience delivering projects, programs or contracts within road maintenance, civil construction, asset maintenance, infrastructure or a similar operational environment.

If you're an experienced Project Manager with a background in road maintenance, civil infrastructure, asset maintenance or operational project delivery, this is the role for you!
