High Voltage Project Manager – Data Centres & Electrical Infrastructure -
Location: Sydney Metro
We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of private HV network projects (11kV–132kV), with a focus on data centres and large-scale electrical infrastructure works across the Sydney Metro area.
About the Role:
As a High Voltage Project Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of HV projects, from design and procurement through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for HV projects (11kV–132kV), primarily within data centre environments
- Lead and coordinate teams of engineers, supervisors, and contractors (up to 13 people)
- Oversee design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities
- Ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards, client specifications, and internal quality/safety procedures
- Manage budgets and schedules, delivering projects ranging from $0.5m to $5m
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all project activities
- 5+ years’ experience delivering high-voltage construction projects (11kV–132kV)
- Strong background in electrical engineering, with exposure to both LV & HV
- Proven experience managing private HV networks, substations, or data centre builds
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
- Excellent commercial, stakeholder, and project management skills
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance in a construction environment
- Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Permanent position with a leading contractor
- Competitive salary: $150 - $170k + Car allowance
- Monday to Friday, metro-based role
