Project Manager – Remedial Construction

Introduction – Company & Role
A well-established, Tier 3 construction and remedial contractor is experiencing strong growth across Sydney. The business specialises in remedial works, concrete repair, waterproofing, façade upgrades, and refurbishment across Class 2 buildings, aged care, residential, commercial, and asset-protection projects.
Due to a new 12-month project commencing in January within the Castle Cove / Chatswood area, the company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex remedial rooftop project within a live operational environment.
  • Interpret and implement remedial design documentation, working closely with engineers and consultants.
  • Oversee planning, sequencing, demolition, reconstruction, waterproofing, and reinstatement works.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, procurement, and financial reporting.
  • Drive project scheduling, resource planning, and overall program performance.
  • Coordinate and support the site team, including the Site Supervisor and Site Manager.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Identify risks, troubleshoot site issues, and put proactive controls in place.
  • Provide regular project reporting to management, including progress, cost, and risk updates.
About You / Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction (remedial experience ideal but not essential).
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems, remedial solutions, waterproofing, and structural works.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and translate them into practical delivery.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and sequencing capability.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to influence, lead, and manage stakeholders.
  • Solid financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
  • Safety-driven mindset, with experience managing live environments.
  • Confident communicator with strong written reporting skills.
  • Full driver’s license; ability to start early January preferred.
