Introduction – Company & Role
A well-established, Tier 3 construction and remedial contractor is experiencing strong growth across Sydney. The business specialises in remedial works, concrete repair, waterproofing, façade upgrades, and refurbishment across Class 2 buildings, aged care, residential, commercial, and asset-protection projects.
Due to a new 12-month project commencing in January within the Castle Cove / Chatswood area, the company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex remedial rooftop project within a live operational environment.
- Interpret and implement remedial design documentation, working closely with engineers and consultants.
- Oversee planning, sequencing, demolition, reconstruction, waterproofing, and reinstatement works.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, procurement, and financial reporting.
- Drive project scheduling, resource planning, and overall program performance.
- Coordinate and support the site team, including the Site Supervisor and Site Manager.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory frameworks.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot site issues, and put proactive controls in place.
- Provide regular project reporting to management, including progress, cost, and risk updates.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction (remedial experience ideal but not essential).
- Strong technical understanding of building systems, remedial solutions, waterproofing, and structural works.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and translate them into practical delivery.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and sequencing capability.
- Strong people skills with the ability to influence, lead, and manage stakeholders.
- Solid financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
- Safety-driven mindset, with experience managing live environments.
- Confident communicator with strong written reporting skills.
- Full driver’s license; ability to start early January preferred.
- Salary around $150k-$160k + Super + Vehicle(with potential review after first few months).
