Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating all stages of building project delivery – from pre-design through to post-construction.
- Managing the performance of external consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Providing expert contract coordination across a range of contract systems.
- Ensuring each project meets scope, time, cost, cash-flow, quality and profitability targets.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong, solution-focused relationships.
- Negotiating effectively with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders to secure value-for-money outcomes.
- Generating reports on project performance, cost, and time variances, and undertaking audits where required.
- Supporting senior management in setting and reviewing service fees and billing processes.
- Promoting and ensuring compliance with quality assurance practices.
- Leading and mentoring a team of project professionals, managing both performance and conduct.
Successful candidate
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end building project management, including design coordination and contract administration.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate project teams and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering client-focused solutions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and performance standards.
- A solid understanding of quality assurance, risk management, and financial tracking within a project environment.
- Knowledge of both traditional and non-traditional building contracts.
- A collaborative and outcomes-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
