Project Officer
Gumala Trust
Perth | Full-time | 12-month contract

Be part of a project team delivering meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal communities

Gumala Trust is entering a critical delivery phase, with a number of organisation-wide projects now moving from planning into implementation.

To support this, we're looking to appoint a Project Officer to work alongside a Project Coordinator and leadership team, helping bring these projects to life.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role supporting the coordination and delivery of several key initiatives, including:
  • A new CRM and beneficiary database
  • Implementation of purchasing cards for beneficiaries
  • Supporting large-scale financial distributions
You'll play a key role in making sure the day-to-day detail is managed, stakeholders are engaged, and projects continue to move forward.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with the Project Coordinator, you'll:
  • Support project planning, coordination and administration
  • Assist with implementation of systems (including CRM), including data capture, user support and process documentation
  • Help coordinate training, onboarding and rollout activities for new systems and tools
  • Organise meetings, prepare documentation and track actions
  • Maintain project records, reports and updates
  • Support process documentation and system implementation
  • Help coordinate logistics, training and rollout activities
  • Work across teams to gather information and support delivery
You'll be someone who enjoys being across the detail and takes pride in keeping things organised and moving.

What we're looking for

This role is well suited to someone earlier in their project career or coming from an operational / admin / coordination background.

You might bring:
  • Experience supporting projects, programs or operational initiatives
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities
An understanding of Aboriginal communities or experience working in a culturally sensitive environment is highly regarded, but not essential.

Why this role
  • Be part of a high-impact project team
  • Gain exposure across multiple functions and projects
  • Work closely with senior leaders
  • Opportunity to develop and grow within project delivery
  • Meaningful work supporting Traditional Owner communities
