A leading prefabricated solutions provider servicing the rapidly expanding data centre sector is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join its high-performing commercial team based in Sydney Olympic Park.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, technically complex projects within one of the fastest-growing infrastructure industries globally. You will play a key role in the preparation, coordination, and delivery of competitive tenders and project costings for mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Quantity Surveyor you'll review and analyse project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates
- This Quantity Surveyor will develop detailed costings for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services
- The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and submit competitive tenders that meet technical, commercial, and program requirements
- This Quantity Surveyor will communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for inclusion in tender submissions
- The Quantity Surveyor will compile and manage bid and contract documentation, including schedules, RFIs, CDEs, and registers
- As Quantity Surveyor you will identify project risks related to cost, scope, and delivery and contribute mitigation strategies
- The Quantity Surveyor will liaise with clients to clarify scope, respond to tender queries, and provide updates on tender progress
- This Quantity Surveyor will maintain and improve estimating tools, databases, and historical cost information
- As the Quantity Surveyor will ensure all estimates comply with relevant regulations, codes, standards, and industry best practice
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Cost Planner within construction, modular construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, cost planning, and commercial management
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- $160,000 – $200,000 + Super
